Adeus, Berta (Goodbye, Berta)
Feature film / Fiction / Drama
Santiago de Compostela, 2010. Alicia is at a good point in her life: she has just moved in with her girlfriend and her restaurant is thriving. Everything falls apart when she is forced to return to Pobra do Caramiñal, the same town she tried to leave behind. Her sister, Berta, has just been expelled from the rehabilitation center where she had spent the past seven months; it is her first relapse since their mother’s death.
The Arousa Estuary will be the setting for the sisters’ reunion, reopening old wounds they will have to confront. Only the bond they once shared can save them and help them come to terms with their past.
