Resurrection

Denís is 17, lives in Viveiro, has used a wheelchair for years and is a virtuoso electric guitarist. A heavy metal fan, he dreams of having his own band and playing at Resurrection Fest. Because when Denís dreams, he doesn’t dream of walking — he dreams of playing. When his hopes of joining a band are dashed, he is left with only two options: give up on his dream or form his own band. A different kind of band — an extraordinarily unlikely one.

With the help of his unstoppable grandmother Fina, who sings in the church choir, his aunt Helen, an old-school rocker who has just returned to town, and other misfits, Denís will form the band of his life with one clear goal: to play at the “Resu”. On a journey full of outrageous situations, he will discover that a love of music and family can overcome differences and that, sometimes, what matters is not whether you achieve your dream, but the journey and the people you share it with.
